David Roxburgh | Associate Physiotherapist

David has worked in the NHS since qualifying as a Chartered Physiotherapist from Glasgow Caledonian University.  He has worked in several specialist areas including Orthopaedics, Neuro Rehabilitation and Burns and Plastics.  David currently works as a Specialist Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapist within the NHS. He has experience working with a wide variety of individuals; both adult and adolescent, elite and recreational athletes.

David worked for Glasgow Rangers FC from 2015-2021 and currently consults for the Irish Football Association. David has travelled Europe with the Northern Irish National Squads (U19/U21’s) since 2017 in his role as lead physiotherapist.

He has a keen clinical interest in sports injury rehabilitation with a particular focus on strength and conditioning. David has a passion for delivering hands-on evidence based practice and has recently undertaken research on “return to play” testing following knee surgery.  These published guidelines are currently used in clinics across the city.

David is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and is registered with the Health Professional Council. He is also a qualified Sports Scientist having graduated from Stirling University in 2012 with a BSC (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science.
