
David has worked in the NHS since qualifying as a Chartered Physiotherapist from Glasgow Caledonian University. He has worked in several specialist areas including Orthopaedics, Neuro Rehabilitation and Burns and Plastics. David then worked as a Specialist Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapist for a number of years and now works as an Advanced Practice Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist within Primary Care. He has experience working with a wide variety of individuals; both adult and adolescent, elite and recreational athletes.
David worked for Glasgow Rangers FC from 2015-2021 and currently consults for the Irish Football Association. He has been travelling Europe with the Northern Ireland National Squads since 2017.
He has a keen clinical interest in sports injury rehabilitation with a particular focus on strength and conditioning. David has a passion for delivering hands-on evidence based practice and has recently undertaken research on “return to play” testing following knee surgery. These published guidelines are currently used in clinics across the city. David is a qualified Musculoskeletal Injection Therapist and is happy to discuss injectable options in our clinic.
He is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and is registered with the Healthcare Professional Council. He is also a qualified Sports Scientist having graduated from Stirling University with a BSC (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science.
